Fort Worth Stockyards - Fort Worth, Texas @ United States

Fort Worth Stockyards - Fort Worth, Texas @ United States

Texas is the second-largest U.S. state in both area and population.Fort Worth is located in North Texas. It is the fifth-largest city within the state of Texas.

In the late 19th Centuries, due to the arrival of the railway in Forth Worth, it turns Forth Worth into a premier cattle industry and in wholesale trade, making it into a transit point for cattle shipment.

The picture shown here is one of my favorite. It was taken in the Fort Worth Stockyards. It is a National Historic District located in Forth Worth. The stockyards are a former livestock market in Texas.

If you are still interested to see variety of “western” people like the cowboys, cattlemen, bartenders and bankers, this is the place to visit. And if you want to know more about the glorious Western heritage, you got to watch the “Fort Worth Stock Show and Championship Rodeo”. (that's when the picture was taken) It showcases over 22,000 livestock and features activities such as professional bull riding, live rodeo and carnival rides. If you search around the web, you will realize that's the reason why Fort Worth is also known as the city "Where the West Begins."
