The two tone green and yellow taxis are generally reckoned to be the best ones. These are driven by the owner, while all others are rented out by the day. All licensed taxis have yellow and black number plates.

The Engineers - Canberra @ Australia

The Engineers - Canberra @ Australia

The capital city of Australia is Canberra. It is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory, south-west of Sydney, and north-east of the Melbourne city.

The above picture is taken from the World War Roll of Honor, in the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. It records and commemorates the names of Australia’s war dead. It takes the form of bronze panels in the Memorial’s Commemorative Area and the Roll of Honour database. It was recorded to assist in remembering, interpreting and understanding of the Australian experience of war and its enduring impact on Australian society.

Of course, for friends who know me, they will know why I took these particular picture of the ENGINEERS. I was in the engineers too when I was serving the army.

Manneken Pis ( Vlaamse Fries ) - Amsterdam @ Netherlands

Manneken Pis ( Vlaamse Fries ) - Amsterdam @ Netherlands

The Netherlands, which is often known as Holland. Borders the North Sea to the north and west, to the south is Belgium, and Germany to the east. The capital is Amsterdam, commonly also known as the capital of culture, coffeeshops and canals. The word Dutch is used to refer to the people, the language, and anything pertaining to the Netherlands.

Ok, so what is the picture about? Is about Manneken Pis. Don't be mistaken. It is definitely not the small bronze fountain sculpture naked little boy of the Brussels’ (Belgium) most famous statues. It is the name of the french fries shop from Amsterdam.

Located just a short walk from the exit of Amsterdam Central Station. It is a take-out only type restaurant. The fries are served in a in a paper sack (shaped like an ice cream cone) with a little fork and a pool of sauce in the middle Order. Locally the fries are known as Vlaamse Fries (Flemish Fries) made from whole potatoes. Typically smothered in mayonnaise. Very nice. In fact me and my wife simply love it.

The Golden Sun Rise - Texarkana, Texas @ United States

The Golden Sun Rise - Texarkana, Texas @ United States

This is in fact the first "official" U.S states and city that I step my feet on when I first went to America. Texarkana, Texas in United States.

Texas is the second-largest U.S. state in both area and population, and the largest state in the contiguous United States. Located in the South Central United States, Texas is nicknamed the Lone Star State to signify Texas as an independent republic and as a reminder of the state's struggle for independence from Mexico.

As for Texarkana, it is a city in Bowie Country, Texas in United States. It effectively functions as one half of a city which crosses a state line — the other half, the city of Texarkana, Arkansas, lies on the other side of State Line Avenue.

In fact the above picture is the first morning that I spend in America. Looking out from the window, I saw this beautiful golden sun rising up. Isn’t life beautiful with such a nice scene to start with early in the morning?

Give the Girls... er... Colors Drinks? - Brussel @ Belgium

Give the Girls... er... Colors Drinks? - Brussel @ Belgium

Brussels (French: Bruxelles, Dutch: Brussel) is the de facto capital city of the European Union (EU) and the largest urban area in Belgium. It comprises 19 municipalities, including the City of Brussels proper, which is the capital of Belgium, Flanders and the French Community of Belgium.

Ever heard someone commented that "Belgium is the country with the best beer in the world and Brussel is the city of Beer". Is that true? I don't know. I don't drink actually. Anyway from my understanding is that Belgium contains thousands of cafes that offer a wide selection of beers, ranging from perhaps 10 (including bottles) in a neighborhood cafe, to over 1000 in a specialist beer outlets.

So, this particular scene caught my eyes in Brussels, 3 ladys drinking in the early afternoon and most importantly is the drinks. I believe is beers but it comes in different colors. Well okay, I admit that I’m a “mountain tortoise”, I never see so many colors of beer before, can? ;-P

China being one of the world's oldest civilizations, is located in the Eastern Asia, bordering the East China Sea, Korea Bay, Yellow Sea, and South China Sea, between North Korea and Vietnam.

Shenzhen is a city of Guangdong province in Southern China. Being located at the border with Hong Kong, Due to it’s location that gives Shenzhen a geographical advantage for economic development, it has become one of the fastest growing cities in China.

The boy in the picture was taken in a place called Splendid China (锦绣中华) – its miniature scenic area covers an area of 300,000 square meters. It collects 82 different miniatures of Chinese famous ancient buildings, landscapes and residential houses which reflect the Chinese history and culture of 5000 years. All of these spots are made on a scale of 1:15 and laid to replicate their locations on China map. Additionally, there are over 50,000 terra cotta figures positioned in different spots to enhance the models' original flavor.

I was actually watching the folk dance show and there the children were sitting just beside me. So I took out my camera and great enough, he actually poses it for me. Handsome boy with a very good smile.

Mummy, that's a bird on my head - Venezia @ Italy

Mummy, that's a bird on my head - Venezia @ Italy

Picture was taken in a city in the northern part of Italy, known as Venice (Italian: Venezia). If my memory doesn't failed me, it was taken right infront of the Basillica of St. Marks. Also commonly known as the Piazza San Marco. It is probably the one of the most famous place in Venice, even from the medieval age it has always been treated as the centre of Venice.

Alright I know, you might be asking, how come the picture does not show the basillica? Well, this picture is about its famous pigeons flying around the basillica. It is a very common sight to see pigeons around the St. Marks Square. So here it is a little girl trying to play with the pigeons and suddenly she got panic when one of the pigeon landed on her head.

Clock Tower Of GPO Building - Melbourne @ Australia

Clock Tower Of GPO Building - Melbourne @ Australia

The picture shown is the beautiful huge clock tower of the GPO (Melbourne General Post Office) building in Melbourne Australia. Obviously it is a landmark building in Melbourne. It is located on the corner of the Elizabeth Street and Bourke Street in Melbourne City itself.

The building was designed in neo-Renaissance style. It ceased to function as an office of Australia in 2001 and was closed as a public facility after developers won the rights to develop it as a retail complex. opened for trade as a retail centre in October 2004.

The GPO Building re-opened for business as a new upmarket retail centre in 2005 after it was almost gutted by fire in September 2001.

The photo captured above is in Florence (Italian : Firenze), which is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany and of the province of Florence. It is one of the best-preserved Renaissance city in the world and is regarded by many as the art capital of Italy.

This picture was taken just before it was going to rain. Dark cloud began to form when I was there. Neverthless I think it still looks presentable to place it in my blog. Well, I always believe, no matter how bad your photography skill is or how bad your camera can be, once you reach one of the most beautiful cities in the world like Florence, many of your pictures will start to turn out to be good. ;-P

The above picture is the aerial (panorama) view of Vatican City. Okay not all of Rome... On the left hand side is the St Peter's Square in the Vatican City. If I remember correctly, this picture is taken from the Dome of St Peter's Basilica. Got to climb up to the top of the dome. But once you are there, you will realise the climb is really worth climbing.

Food for You - @ Hong Kong

Food for You - @ Hong Kong

Hong Kong (香港) is a special administrative region of the People's Republic of China. Situated in the Eastern Asia, bordering the South China Sea and China. It is one of the most densely populated areas in the world.

Beside renowning for its expansive skyline and deep natural harbour. I believe eating is a social affair in Hong Kong. Everywhere from all levels of food chain to street stalls to family restaurants to hotel restaurants or even McDonalds, most of the times I never get sick of it. May be is because I'm a Chinese. I simply love the food. Peking Duck to Roast Pork to Dim Sum to etc...

Seriously, even in McDonalds, I personally think that the tea that I drank is so much better than the tea I order back in McDonalds at home.

Philadelphia was the first capital of the United States, the largest city in Pennsylvania, fifth-largest city in the country and is a historical city famous for its cultural and educational institutions. It is a vibrant urban area serving a metropolitan population of about 5 million. The city was once the second-largest in the British Empire (After London), and the social and geographical center of the original 13 American colonies. The first America Zoo is in Philadelphia too (Philadelphia Zoo).

Not going to explain much on the picture taken, as I have forgotten where I took it actually. Is either in the Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed or in the National Constitution Center. Anyway, is a beautiful lady. ;-P

Australia is made up of six states and two major mainland territories. Melbourne is the capital and most populous city in the state of Victoria, and also the second most populous city in Australia.

Oh, how I can ever miss this? An hourly event in the evening near Crown Casino. At night, giant spheres of fire issue at choreographed intervals from the tops of the towers. Nine feet in diameter, these magnificent flame clusters send out pyrotechnic illumination that transforms the Crown Casino promenade and the entire river edge into an evening experience of vibrancy and drama.

We Are Soldier - Taipei @ Taiwan

We Are Soldier - Taipei @ Taiwan

Taiwan (Known also as The Republic of China) located in the Eastern Asia, islands bordering the East China Sea, Philippine Sea, South China Sea, and Taiwan Strait, north of the Philippines, off the southeastern coast of China. The de facto capital (provisional capital) of Taiwan is Taipei (台北), which is also the largest city in Taiwan.

The photo is taken in the Martyrs' Shrine, Taipei (台北 大直 忠烈祠). It is situated on the Chingshan Mountain, close to the Grand Hotel (圓山飯店) and is overlooking the Keelung River (基隆河).

It was built in 1969, in honor of about 330,000 men who had sacrificed their lives while trying to overthrow the Ching Dynasty. The temple bears close resemblance to the Taihe Dian Imperial Palace (故宮太和殿) situated in Beijing. No doubt, there is a great sense of calm and solemn atmosphere about it.

One great attraction that is worth watching of the shrine is the change of guards parade (衛兵交接操槍儀式) every hourly. My understanding is that these military guards who guard the temple are trained to remain strict and stand rigid in front of the temple. They are to stand expressionless and unmoved by the words of the crowds.

The country is a kingdom, a consitutional monarchy with King officially titled as the Head of State, the Head of the Armed Forces, an Upholder of the Buddhist religion, and the Defender of all Faiths.

Okay, I believe most people will agree that some of the most beautiful and convincing transvestites in the world can be found here in bangkok. Yes, the picture shown here is actually a 'katoeys' performing on stage... unbelievable... but I can only say, the show is very well performed.

My Design, My Work, My Plate - @ Belgium

My Design, My Work, My Plate - @ Belgium

The Kingdom of Belgium is a country in the northwest Europe, who shares the borders with France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Belgium has three official languages. There are Dutch, French and German. In which Dutch being the largest speaker population.

This lady immediately attracted me when I saw her sitting along the street. She has created some small little deco plates. Most likely it was painted by her. She "seem" not so well to do... (Okay I might be wrong. Sorry lady.) Okay, she might be travelling around too... but trying to earn some money while travelling... Nevertheless she able to support herself and her dog by making those handicraft plates to sell.

Isn't it encouraging for those who is strong and healthy, yet lofting around asking people for money?

The Eiffel Tower - Paris @ France

The Eiffel Tower - Paris @ France

The official name for France is French Republic. Today France is one of the most modern countries in the world and is a leader among European nations. One of the earliest countries to progress from feudalism to the nation-state. Its monarchs surrounded themselves with capable ministers, and French armies were among the most innovative, disciplined, and professional of their day.

Paris in France, my first stop, the first country that I step into when I went to europe. Now it is the first picture in this blog... is a newborn so the world is still black and white ;-p

One of the most famous landmark in France is the Eiffel Tower. It is a 19th century iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris that has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. It was built for the World Exhibition in 1889, held in celebration of the French Revolution in 1789.

It is named after its designer, engineer - Gustave Eiffel. He was also known for the construction of the Status Of Liberty's iron framework.

Foreword - Be Blessed !!!

As a blessed child of God, I believe that I'm really blessed. I managed to travel quite a number of places in this small little planet known as Earth.

Yes, is not about work, is not about event. It is about travelling around with the one you love, with the one you enjoy going around with. Explore this small little planet and realise that the world is not that small after all.

As a matter of fact, I'm actually quite a "homely" man, not a person that love to travel alot. However, like I said, being blessed by God, I blessed to travel. :-P (too deep for you? is okay... layman term... I'm Blessed... That's why this blog is known as "Blessed Footprint".)

As far as I am concern, as long as I get to travel, I would love to travel for a much longer period of time while covering as many places as possible. Leaving many blessed footprint around this planet. Reason being I really enjoy it especially when I know that there is another 2 set of footprints walking along with me... The footprint of my wife and my lord, Jesus... I really think I am BLESSED.

Having said all that, the more I travel, the more I notice the beauty of this world that I'm living. The more I notice that, the more I am impressed by the works of God. 7 days is all he used to create this world. Nope, definitely not 7 days, not even 70 days or 700 days, I think if I am given another 70 years, I will still never be able to finish leaving my footprint in every part of this world. That's how powerful my God is... 7 days.

Nevetheless, I think it is time for me to share... And that's the reason for the birth of this blog... to share with the world the "footprint" of my life journey. Footprint of beautiful building, places, food, events and beautiful people that I've seen.

So stay cool and keep coming back to my blog... "footprint" will be up in the next post of mine... Cheers.

PS : Travelling in my own country, attending events of my life to me is also consider as leaving my footprint, okay? Don't understand? Nevermind... you will get it one day. :-)
-----ooOoo-----

Blessed Footprint

Dear All...

I'm glad to announce that Today is the OFFICIAL Launched of
Blessed Footprint !!!

All Photos displayed on this Blog are the taken by me.
The camera gear that I used to take all the photographs are as follows :
  • Nikon F50
  • Sony 707
  • Sony T100
  • Canon 40D
Yes, as you can see, there are film SLR camera, prosumer camera, compact camera to Digital SLR. So please don't think that this is another Professional Photographer trying to post his photographs for the world to see... Anyway I don't think my photography skill are that good yet. So it just me and my camera... showing you what my eye see from this beautiful world.

Alright, due to the "limitation" of the storage space given by blogspot, all the photographs displayed as been "downsized" in term of resolution and quality. ;-p

Anyway I have done my MATH... Assuming there are 30 days in every month of the year, and if I were to post at least 15 photos in every month, that will be at least 180 for a year. (15 x 12 = 180) Wow, I admit I did go to a number of cities. However to produce 180 PRESENTABLE photographs is totally another issue.

Mmm... maybe 1 week 2 photos, 1 month will have 4 photos, 1 year will be 48 photos... Mmm...

Anyway don't be surprise that you might see more than 1 photographs from the same cities / countries again. Being able to produce more than 1 photos would most likely means that I've stay a much longer period of time in that country, hence I'm able to find more time to "shoot" around. Especially this little beautiful "red dot" country known as Singapore. You might able to see many from this country. I have been staying here for some time... know why? I'm born here bro. ;-P

Okay, hope you will enjoy my "shooting". Maybe there will be a time when we can go "shooting" together. Do drop me a mail if you like my photos... It does encourage me alot ;-P

May the Lord bless All of us...

Thank You.
